Disney Genie and Genie+ have been retired. The current line-skipping program is Lightning Lane.
What happened to Disney Genie?
Disney Genie was a free trip-planning tool inside the My Disney Experience app. Genie+ was the paid add-on that let guests book Lightning Lane arrival windows throughout the day. Both have been retired as of 2024 and replaced by the updated Lightning Lane system.
Lightning Lane now comes in two tiers: Lightning Lane Multi Pass (covers most attractions, bookable one at a time throughout your day) and Lightning Lane Single Pass (covers the highest-demand individual attractions, purchased separately). Pricing is dynamic and varies by park, date, and demand level.
The strategy for using Lightning Lane well hasn't changed much from Genie+, but the booking flow and timing has. Our specialists stay current on every update and can help you build a plan that gets the most out of the system on your travel dates.
