About Aulani
Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa in Ko Olina, Hawaiʻi is Disney's immersive resort experience outside of a theme park. There are no rides — instead, Aulani offers an extraordinary beach and pool complex, Hawaiian cultural programming, spa services, and Disney character experiences woven into a genuinely luxurious resort setting. It's a favorite for families who want the Disney magic without the park crowds.
What to reserve in advance
Several Aulani experiences require advance reservations and fill up quickly, especially during peak season. These include Aulani's Laniwai Spa treatments, private cabanas at the beach and pools, and character dining at Makahiki restaurant. Your Mouseways specialist makes these reservations on your behalf as part of your trip planning — don't leave these until you arrive.
The pools and beach
Aulani's pool complex is one of its greatest assets — lazy rivers, water slides, a snorkeling lagoon, and direct beach access to Ko Olina's protected lagoon. Towels and most water amenities are complimentary. The beach is calm and swimmer-friendly, making it excellent for young children.
Current operational notes
Aulani operates as a standalone resort, not a theme park, so there are no park reservations required. Contact your Mouseways specialist for the most current information on what's open and available during your travel dates — activity availability can vary seasonally.
